Introduction

Azithromycin is a semi-synthetic fifteen-membered ring macrolide antibiotic. White or almost white crystalline powder; odorless, bitter taste; slightly hygroscopic. This product is soluble in methanol, acetone, chloroform, anhydrous ethanol or dilute hydrochloric acid, almost insoluble in water. Specific rotation to take this product, accurately weighed, dissolved in ethanol and diluted to make a solution containing 20mg per 1ml, determined in accordance with the law (Appendix VIE), specific rotation should be -45 ° to -49 °.
